Accessible Raised-bed Gardens

In 2025, two raised-bed gardens were added that allow easier access to gardeners with disabilities, particularly those who use a wheelchair or walker. These raised beds, which are compliant with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, allow for comfortable and ergonomic gardening without requiring bending, kneeling, or reaching. The beds, which were built by Master Gardener volunteers, were created with principles of universal design in mind, ensuring they are usable and enjoyable by people of all abilities.
